Collate and report on Existing and Current Research (Deliverables 1 & 2)
A main focus of this COST Action was to collate and report on existing and current research, with the aim to harmonize research (approaches) and generate new research ideas and opportunities. Please find below a list that gives an overview of the achievements related to Deliverables 1 and 2 ‘Collate and report on Existing and Current Research’:
1/ Presentations by the COST-Action members during the Working Group meetings.
Many presentations were held during the WG meetings by members and invited people with the aim to learn from each other approaches and projects. We therefore refer to the minutes of the meetings: http://www.novelstructuralskins.eu/documents/
2/ Review Papers and State-of-the art reports were mainly written during STSMs by Early-Stage-Researchers to compare, discuss and highlight case studies and approaches. All reports of the STSMs can be found on http://www.novelstructuralskins.eu/events/stsm/ .

4/ Many ‘current’ research papers were presented during the COST Action - TensiNet Symposium (Research Conference)
https://conferences.ncl.ac.uk/tensinet2016/ . The open access papers can be found on http://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/procedia-engineering/vol/155
5/ Existing and current research approaches and methodologies were reported during the two Training Schools ( http://www.novelstructuralskins.eu/events/training- schools/ ) :
- EuroMem: From uncertainties to partial safety factors calibration: application to tensile membrane structures – Discover the birth of a Eurocode
- Exploring Software Approaches In Simulating Bending-active Systems : presentation reporting on the COST Action Training School by dr. Riccardo La Magna - http://www.novelstructuralskins.eu/wp-content/uploads/documents/Brussels2017/171017_Brussels_WG1b_IASS2017_workshopResume.pdf
6/ Joint initiatives to collate and report on approaches:
- Joint paper on bi-axial testing (different testing machines and protocols used in Newcastle University, University of Milano and University of Brussels) in preparation. Publication of context in paper at IASS2015: http://www.novelstructuralskins.eu/wp-cont ent/uploads/documents/Guimaraes2015/150909_Guimaraes_WG4_VanCraenenbroeck _paper.pdf
